Dartmouth Community Garden and Fire Safety Project

The Dartmouth Community Progress Association are recipients of the Towong Community Bushfire Disaster Relief Fund Round 4, for their Dartmouth Community Garden and Fire Safety Project.

The funds have allowed the construction, maintenance and ongoing expansion of the volunteer run Dartmouth Community Garden which includes the planting of numerous vegetables, fruit, herbs and trees, water tanks, hot house, gazebo and garden beds.

The positive outcomes from this garden are endless. Just some include fresh produce available for the community, socialising within the community, safety and wellbeing for the community knowing there is stored water for drought and bushfire and participation from the local school children teaching them how to grow, harvest and prepare produce.
