2AY recently completed the latest of its annual grant rounds, further adding to the support they have provided to many local community projects over the years.
This year funds were allocated to two main projects.
The Terry Floyd Foundation facilitates a Cyber Safety Program through rural schools, promoting online safety for children and their parents. This type of program is generally only accessible by children in the metropolitan, or larger regional centres.
They were awarded a total of $7,440 to fund two full day workshops, encompassing all levels of each nominated school.
2AY also supported Foodshare in reviewing and extending the scope of their Breakfast Program, ensuring the distribution of healthy meals to as many local schools as possible.
Foodshare received $10,000 toward achieving this objective at a time when the demand has increased significantly.
The support of partners like 2AY is invaluable to the ongoing work done by so many community groups in our region.
