This project was to purchase and train a therapy dog for use in Junction Supports residential and counselling services to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes whilst fostering a sense of connection for many vulnerable and disconnected children, youth and adults.

Junction Support Services is a well-established not-for-profit organisation in regional Victoria and surrounds.

They support people across their lifespan – from the infants who are part of our young parent’s program, to the children who receive counselling for trauma, the adolescents we support to re-engage with education and the individuals of all ages we support through our homelessness and family violence programs. Junction’s mission is to support individuals and families to achieve their full potential.

Junction has 38 programs, employs over 200 staff and 40 volunteers. Junction provides services in homelessness, family violence and youth support including operating residential care houses and a youth refuge.
