Border Trust is pleased to announce recipients of the Bushfire Relief Fund Grant Program – Round One, announced September 2020.

Funded by Portland House Foundation’s contribution to the Bushfire Fund

Acres & Acres Co Op – $10,000 to purchase a greenhouse
Albury Wodonga Regional Foodshare – $5,000 to purchase additional food
Youth Albury Wodonga – $8,690 – Back on YAW Feet program
Bigarra Community Recovery Committee – $9,849 for a hall renovation
Petaurus Education Group – $10,000 Keeping Corryong Resilient group
Thowgla Recreation Reserve – $10,000 for a hall renovation
Tintaldra Hall Committee – $10,700 for Tintaldra Avenue of Honour
Man from Snowy River Tourist Association – $9,900 for a reflection & healing space

Community contributions have enabled the following Round 1 projects

Flying Fruit Fly Circus – $9,135 for circus workshops in the Towong Shire
Jingellic Hub – $13,000 Conversations from the Couch event & Flamin’ Hell Sculpture
Ournie Rural Fire Brigade – $9,900 Ournie tennis court lights
Tumbarumba Community Church – $10,000 Recovering Together program

The Border Trust Bushfire Recovery Grant Scheme aims to support the recovery of communities within our local region, including the local government areas of  Alpine, Greater Hume, Towong and Snowy Valleys.
