Local generosity is helping to create safer futures for women, children and families affected by violence.
Through the Hume Bank Safer Communities Fund, Border Trust has supported organisations like Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) to deliver culturally led, trauma-informed support for families experiencing or at risk of family violence.
This funding helps provide immediate, practical assistance — things like safe accommodation, food, fuel and essential household items — while also strengthening pathways to longer-term healing and recovery.
Different stories, different needs, with one shared commitment to community wellbeing
