The BIG Give

Border Trust's Annual Showcase

The BIG Give is Border Trust’s Annual Showcase and grant award event, where we celebrate our grant recipients and gratefully acknowledge our donors, supporters, sponsors, partners and friends.

The Big Give 2026

What an inspiring evening at The Big Give 2026.

Together, we celebrated our 2026 grant recipients and the remarkable impact local giving is creating across our region.

Every grant awarded represents individuals, families and communities being supported, connected and empowered through the generosity of local people.

Thank you to our speakers, donors, grant recipients, partners and community members for joining us for conversations that matter.

🧡 We proudly celebrated the awarding of $580,565 in community grants in the 2026 financial year.

🧡 Andrew Harrison (General Manager 1494 2AY Ace Radio Network) guided our Voices from the Frontline panel featuring Tots2Teens Albury Wodonga, Uniting Vic.Tas, Lifeline Albury Wodonga and PCYC Albury.  Their honest reflections highlighted the growing challenges of family violence, homelessness, mental health and youth wellbeing, and reinforced that these issues are not happening elsewhere – they are happening here in our community.

🧡 Sue Gold and Michelle Hudson provided details of how Local Giving can be part of the solution through initiatives like Give500, the Community Impact Fund and other pathways that enable lasting change.

CELEBRATING OUR PARTNERSHIP

2026 marks 10 years of local giving through ACE Radio 2AY & Edge FM and their philanthropic partner, the Handbury Foundation.

The Impact
Since the first grants were awarded in 2017, ACE Radio 2AY & Edge FM and the Handbury Foundation have distributed more than $208,000 to local community organisations across our region.

• That’s ten years of supporting grassroots organisations.
• Ten years of backing local ideas.
• Ten years of creating opportunities for people and communities to thrive.

Through this partnership, local organisations have been able to purchase equipment, strengthen connections, support volunteers and deliver programs that make a genuine difference to local lives.

Thank You

Border Trust would like to acknowledge Andrew Harrison – Ace Radio 2AY General Manager, and Rowly and Judy Paterson from the Handbury Foundation, who have taken the time to visit grant recipients and see firsthand the impact being created through this partnership.

On behalf of Border Trust, our Board, our grant recipients and our community, thank you for ten years of believing in local communities and the power of local giving.

Celebration

On 3 June at Border Trust’s Annual Showcase we celebrated the incredible impact made possible through local giving.

We proudly celebrated the awarding of $580,565 in community grants to support community initiatives across the six LGAs of Albury, Wodonga, Indigo Shire, Federation, Towong, and Greater Hume.

Since 2005, Border Trust has distributed $6,320,019 to help turn life-changing ideas into reality. It’s a true celebration of locals caring for locals, working together to build a stronger, more connected community.
