2026 Business Luncheon

Local business and community leaders came together at the Albury Club on Friday 4 September for Border Trust’s 2026 Business Luncheon, held as part of Local Giving Month.
This year’s guest speaker, Tony Smith of Regent Cinemas Albury, shared stories from his many years in the cinema industry and his family’s long connection with the Border region. Entertaining, insightful and distinctly local, Tony’s presentation was a highlight of the afternoon, along with some Regent trivia and, fittingly, choc tops.
Hosted by David Koschitzke, the luncheon also gave guests an opportunity to hear more about Border Trust, Local Giving Month and the Community Impact Fund, our long-term fund designed to grow local giving and provide an enduring source of funding for community organisations across the Border region.
Importantly, the afternoon was about bringing people together. It created space for local business leaders to connect, learn more about the needs and opportunities within our region and consider the role local businesses can play in supporting the community where their employees, customers and families live, work and play.
Thank you to Tony Smith, David Koschitzke, the Albury Club and everyone who joined us and helped make the 2026 Business Luncheon such an enjoyable afternoon.
When local people and businesses give locally, our whole community benefits
