Border Trust Welcomes Mark Dixon as New Chair.
Border Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Dixon as the new Chair of its Board.
Mark brings a wealth of experience and strong local connections to the role. Having served as CEO of Wodonga TAFE and Wodonga Council, and most recently as CEO of Melbourne Legacy, Mark has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to community leadership and brings valuable insight into the philanthropic and not-for-profit landscape.
“We are very excited to welcome Mark to Border Trust,” said Sue Gold, Executive Officer. “His deep understanding of the region and passion for strengthening local communities align perfectly with Border Trust’s mission. We look forward to the contribution Mark will make as we continue to grow our local giving and community impact.”
Mark takes over from Kristy Campbell, who served as Chair for the past two years. Under Kristy’s leadership, Border Trust celebrated significant milestones, deepened community connections, and continued to build a strong, values-driven Board and team culture.
Kristy reflected on her time as Chair, describing it as “one of the most memorable and joyous volunteer roles” of her career. “The highlight is of course knowing the real difference we’ve made to rural and regional organisations who make a difference in their community every day.”
Kristy will remain an active member of the Board. Mark acknowledged Kristy’s leadership, saying,
“Kristy has done a fabulous job as Chair. Most importantly, she is staying on the Board, so we retain all her experience, skills and expertise. Border Trust is a fantastic community organisation, and I look forward to working with our diverse Board team and talented staff to grow our influence and impact in the region.”
Welcome, Mark – we’re excited for what’s ahead!
