This September, the community and local businesses across the Border region are coming together to help build something that will benefit our community for generations.
By making a simple pledge during Local Giving Month, your business can help grow Border Trust’s Community Impact Fund – a permanent local fund supporting local not-for-profits and community organisations, today, tomorrow and forever.
Because what’s raised here, stays here.

Imagine if every café, retailer, tradie, manufacturer, professional service and local business across our region chose one simple way to give during September.
Individually, each pledge might seem small. Together, they could create lasting impact for the community we all call home.

It’s a region-wide celebration of local generosity that brings businesses and the community together to create something bigger than any one organisation could achieve alone
How it works
Step 1: Register your business
Tell us you’d like to participate and register your pledge using the online registration form below.
Step 2: Choose your pledge
Your pledge can be anything that suits your business. For example:
- $1 from every coffee sold
- 10% of September sales
- $250 from every property settlement
- Proceeds from a fundraising event
- A once-off business donation
Whether your pledge runs for one day, one week or the whole month, every contribution helps build the Community Impact Fund.
Step 3: Promote your pledge
We’ll provide campaign resources to help you promote your involvement throughout September.
Step 4: The community backs you
Throughout Local Giving Month, we’ll encourage the community to support participating businesses by shopping locally, dining locally and choosing businesses that are helping build our community’s future.
With the support of local media partners, radio, television, print and digital media, along with a dedicated social media campaign, we’ll be sharing business stories, promoting participating businesses and inviting the community to support those businesses wherever they can.
Step 5: Donate your pledge
At the end of September, simply calculate the value of your pledge and donate those proceeds to Border Trust’s Community Impact Fund via the Local Giving Month donation platform or direct deposit by 30 September.
