Julia Vesval, Director

Julia joined the Board in November 2020.

Julia is a strategic marketing communications expert; she holds a Master of Science of Management majoring in Marketing & Communications. She also holds a Master of Wine Business and specialised in consumer behaviour and brand management.

After working in marketing for various companies in the beverage industry, her last position as Marketing Manager – Retention & Community for Hume Bank gave her an opportunity to understand some of the community issues in the Albury Wodonga region and the support required to enact change and make a positive impact.

In 2021, Julia will participate in the Alpine Valley Community Leadership Program to learn more about the socio-economic issues in our region, be a part of a network of local business and community leaders and be empowered with the skills to make a real difference in the community.

In addition to her Board position, Julia sits on Border Trust Give500 Committee and the Fundraising Committee. She is a committee member of City 2 City RunWalk and a Board Director of Quercus Beechworth, Beechworth community centre.

A Community Foundation is an independent philanthropic organisation working in a specific geographic area which, over time, builds up a collection of endowed funds from many donors in the community. It provides services to the community and its donors, makes grants and undertakes community leadership and partnership activities to address a wide variety of needs in its service area.”
