COMMUNITY LEADERS NETWORK

In August 2007 the Border Trust Community Foundation launched a new leadership program - the Border Trust Community Leaders Network.

The Network consists of community and business leaders from Albury and Wodonga and from across the Corowa, Indigo, Towong, Greater Hume & Alpine Shires.

Co Chair of Border Trust, Ms Judy Brewer says :

“We are looking to develop a network of people with a commitment to developing opportunities in our local area. This program is designed to harness the experience and dedication of our extended community network - both to enhance the ongoing work of Border Trust and to assist in decision making for the future of our local communities. It is a networking exercise, recognising that the biggest asset any community has is its people and their passion”.

Members of the Border Trust Community Leaders Network are local people with a demonstrated commitment to growing and investing in our region.

Network members are invited on the basis of what they bring to the operation of the Border Trust in terms of time, skills, networks and contacts.  When relevant to their particular area of expertise, Network Members are invited to have input into the planning of major strategic initiatives and to be involved in the fundraising and community development activities of the foundation.

Border Trust greatly appreciates the involvement of some wonderful individuals and businesses who work with Border Trust towards creating a truly local foundation for the future.
