Border Trust is pleased to announce the current grant round open as at 4 October 2008.

 

Interested parties are invited to submit their Applications as per the Border Trust Grant Application Process.

 

Time Line

4 Oct 2008     Grant Round Opens – “Expressions of Interest” Invited

21 Oct 2008   Closing date for submission of “Expression Of Interest”

23 Oct 2008   Those Applicants meeting the Foundation’s guidelines will be INVITED to submit a full Application

4 Nov 2008    Closing date for full applications

7 Nov 2008    Successful Applicants announced.

 


BORDER TRUST COMMUNITY SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM

The Border Trust sources funds in the form of donations and gifts from individuals and businesses across the communities of Albury and Wodonga and across the Indigo, Towong, Greater Hume & Alpine Shires.These funds are distributed each year to local community groups through the Border Trust Community Small Grants Program.Grants are made to community groups and organisations whose projects are in keeping with the Border Trust's mission & Aims. Community groups apply for funding via the  Grant Application Process.

 


Grant Recipients June 2008

Border Trust is delighted to announce the successful recipients for the June grant round.

They are:-

  1. The LEAP Centre Inc (Learning Education & Play - an early intervention program) $2,034.50 – for the purchase of the Lecky Early Activity Systems for babies and children with special needs.
  2. The Murray Valley Centre Inc, (Centre for Adults with disabilities) $4,500.00 – for their garden project to increase personal networking and community co-operation.
  3. Beechworth Business & Professional Women’s Club  $500.00 – to conduct the “Gorgeous Girls’ program promoting personal and professional development of young women in the area.
  4. Corryong Neighbourhood House  $900.00  - supporting a Women’s Retreat @ Walwa, bringing city and country women together for cultural and social exchange.
  5. “Wild Choir”  $2,000.00 – to provide a regular program for People With Disabilities to enjoy and develop singing skills.

 BORDER TRUST INAUGURAL GRANT ROUND 2005

Distributed over $10,000 to local, innovative community groups. 

The successful recipients were:

1.       Wheelchair Basketball Association Albury Wodonga   Funds towards the purchase of a paediatric wheelchair

2.       Central Albury Occasional Child Care Centre    Funds to purchase soft fall surface mats for children aged 0-6 years

3.       Upper Hume Community Health Service     To “train the trainer” for the Mother Goose program -  an early intervention program which aims to support parental skills & confidence, which can enable them to create positive family patterns during their child’s crucial early years

4.       L.E.A.P. (Learning Education and Play) Centre     Health mentoring project for families who have children with disabilities

5.       Alpine Community Radio     Contribution towards purchase of on-air mixing panel.
