BACK TO SCHOOL GIFT VOUCHERS

The “Back To School” Gift Voucher initiative is supported by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) with the Sidney Myer Fund and Visy (The Pratt Foundation).

 In 2007 Border Trust was successful in obtaining gift vouchers to the value of $15,000 and distributed 300 $50 Vouchers to Schools in the region.

Gift vouchers, distributed to over 247 families in our Regions Primary Schools are given to help with uniforms, books or other equipment needed to get kids' “back to school”.

"With the extra burden of drought that has gone on in some areas for over 4 years, the normally resilient people of rural and regional Australia are finding it a bit hard to cope at the moment, and we are delighted to be able provide this program to assist" said Sylvia Admans, CEO of FRRR.

This program is unique, in that the participants can choose what is needed to make the return to school easier for all.
