2012 BACK TO SCHOOL GIFT VOUCHERS from FRRR

The Border Trust is proud to be associated once again with the Foundation for Regional and Rural Recovery (FRRR) "Back to School Program". For the commencement of the 2012 school year, $50 Target vouchers totalling $22,500 have been allocated for distribution to schools across the Shires and Cities of Albury, Wodonga, Greater Hume, Indigo, Towong, Corowa, Alpine and Tumbarumba. EXECUTIVE OFFICER APPOINTMENT February 2011

Border Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenys Atkins our new Executive Officer. Glenys, who commenced with Border Trust in February is a welcome addition to the Border Trust team.

 SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS INITIATIVE  Border Trust has received funding from FRRR via this program which aims to increase the long term sustainability of rural and regional community foundations through projects that plan and implement strategies to build financial capacity. We are one of 15 rural and regional community foundations being provided this great challenge to work towards sustainability. Our thanks go to CEO Sylvia Admans and her team for this visionary initiative and the promise of $10,000 per annum over the next three years.

WORKPLACE GIVING  2010   Border Trust was fortunate to have been nominated to receive donations via workplace giving programs. Our sincere thanks to the staff at Hume Building Society and CPG Australia who have made contributions. This is yet another example of the power of philanthropy at work in our community.

THE 'FOREVER YOUNG' CHARITY BALL    A wonderful effort by the Committee of the "Forever Young" Charity Ball held on Saturday 21 November 2009.  Funds raised at the event were donated to Border Trust to help disadvantaged children on the Border.
