Hume Building Society and Border Trust launched the "Border Trust Community Donation Fund". 

The fund was launched by Mr Tim Fisher AC (former Deputy Prime Minister) and Mr Scott Pape "The Barefoot Investor" at an official function held in Albury on 22 August 2008. 

The fund enables members of the Hume Building Society to support Border Trust by donating the interest on their Hume Term Investment to Border Trust. All interest is then automatically paid to Border Trust.
